Temperature sensitive (56°C for 15 minutes), 170 X 70 nm in size. Acid and glycerol-labile. Pathogenic for rainbow trout (Salmo gairdneri), sockeye salmon (Oncorhynchus nerka), and chinook salmon (Oncorhynchus tshawytscha).
